Does Hyperliquid have paper trading?

Not on its main exchange. As of October 2026, Hyperliquid offers no demo mode with virtual funds. Its testnet uses faucet USDC, but it has its own order book and liquidity, so its prices and fills can differ from mainnet. The testnet suits testing code better than practising decisions. A paper account marked to mainnet prices lets you practise on the market you plan to trade, without connecting a wallet.

Practise on live Hyperliquid prices

Switch the SuperQuant paper account to live mode and it marks BTC, ETH, SOL and HYPE positions to the live Hyperliquid mark price. Manual orders fill at that mark, and each newly closed hour applies modeled funding, stops and fees. Set size, leverage and an invalidation level before you open a position. A paper balance is a practice record, not withdrawable funds.

Paper copy a top Hyperliquid trader

In Telegram, /whales copy #12 10k starts a simulated copy of a ranked trader with $10,000 of paper capital. SuperQuant sizes the paper book to that trader’s account and mirrors every position change at the price when it detected the change, plus fees and slippage. /whales copies shows the running result. The gap between the trader’s return and your copy shows how much a delayed follower would have kept.

Check the liquidation price before you size

Hyperliquid sets maintenance margin to half the initial margin at an asset’s maximum leverage. A 40x asset such as BTC therefore liquidates an isolated position once losses leave 1.25% margin, and a 10x asset such as HYPE at 5%. The calculator’s Hyperliquid preset applies that rule and rejects leverage above the asset’s maximum. Record what you planned and what happened in the private Diary.

Try the workflow

  1. Open the paper account and switch it to live Hyperliquid prices.
  2. Write a small plan with a stop and an invalidation condition.
  3. Check the liquidation price with the Hyperliquid preset.
  4. Place a simulated trade or start a paper copy, then review it in the Diary.

Follow the paper trading walkthrough. Check workspace access and requirements.

Understand the limits

Paper fills use the live mark price or a detection-time price with modeled fees and slippage, not Hyperliquid’s order book, so queue position, partial fills and market impact are not reproduced. Live paper covers BTC, ETH, SOL and HYPE. Paper copying needs the Holder tier, which the trial includes. SuperQuant never connects to your Hyperliquid account and never places orders.
