Research Lab: Experiments

Compare controlled research variants and inspect what changed between them.

Before you begin: Existing runs and experiments are research records. Starting a comparison creates a new record only after you choose that action.

How to use it

  1. Open Research Lab and choose Experiments.
  2. Inspect each comparison’s hypothesis, changed field, baseline and current status.
  3. Open a completed result and compare its sample and assumptions with the baseline.
  4. Record the limitation or missing review step before treating a comparison as evidence.

Worked example and expected outcome

Teaching case: a comparison queues after costs change, but its status is not yet evaluated.

If it does not work

If there is no comparison history, use the Backtest Workbench guide; do not create a research record just to read this walkthrough.
